Research: My current research focuses on further understanding the evolution of Milky Way-mass galaxies and their supermassive black holes through the lens of the circumgalactic medium (CGM), which is the halo of gas that surrounds a galaxy. I am particularly interested in the ways that metals (basically any gas that isn't hydrogen or helium) move through a galaxy, how they are effected by the SMBH, and how we can use the motion and position of metals as tracers to understand the kinematics and dynamics of the CGM.
