Research: Melanoma Antigen Genes (MAGEs) are a family of genes whose expression is normally restricted to the germline, but have an aberrant reappearance in cancer. During my tenure in the bridge program, I investigated the role of epigenetics in regulating MAGE gene expression as well as the effect of aberrant MAGE expression in vitro.
